Abstract
A method is given for using a confidence interval on the parameter p of a binomial distribution to obtain a tolerance interval on the distribution. An example is given to illustrate the setting in which tolerance limits for a binomial distribution might be useful, and to demonstrate that the calculations are relatively easy with a good set of binomial tables.
