Abstract

Controlled/living radical polymerization of methyl methacrylate under the conditions of reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer was performed. The reaction occurs at high rates, with the control over molecular-weight characteristics of poly(methyl methacrylate) preserved. The polymeric reversible chain-transfer agent exhibits high performance in polymerization of methyl methacrylate and in its block copolymerization with styrene.
