Abstract
The technique of population synthesis is applied to reddening corrected 11 color data for eight young globular clusters in the Magellanic Clouds. A local luminosity function is used for all clusters. From the computed stellar populations, masses are determined for five of the clusters. These masses are found to be two to three times smaller than those found for old Milky Way globulars. The synthesized populations are also compared to theoretical H-R diagrams. Ml seven clusters in the LMC are found to be redder in integrated light than the theoretical cluster of a corresponding age, with an opposite effect found in the only SMC cluster studied. These results are tentative since neither the photometric system nor the stellar synthesis groups available were optimal for young star clusters.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.

Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
