Abstract
A compact 1-GW pulsed power source, developed for use in a collective acceleration experiment, is described. The system utilizes seven artificial Blumlein pulse forming networks which are charged in parallel and discharged in a series configuration. The generator has been used to produce a 300-kV, 3-kA, 0.5-μs electron beam.
