Abstract
The aperture theorem which is based on the equivalence principle is discussed. And the characteristics of the equivalence surfaces which are on the aperture region are studied. It is found that different errors present when different equivalence surfaces are used. Several rules on the selections are proposed. These rules allow easier use of the equivalence principle in a broad application.
