Abstract
This paper presents an alternative technique for the analysis of variability of load components by using load duration curve. The user's activities and critical peak demand for short duration obtained from annual profile data are classified according to the frequency of electricity consumption. However, load factor of a plant depends on the control or clipping of a peak demand. Thus, the users need to identify electric device which may cause high impact on their bills. This technique enables us to solve a peak demand problem in a plant accurately. It can provide a better way for load factor improvement with the ease of application, accuracy in demand side management which decreases the peak demand in electrical system and high efficiency.
