Abstract

Abstract The development and distinctive features of the eggs and larvae of Caranx georgianus Cuvier, 1833 are described. Diameters of the egg and oil globule range between 0.76 mm and 0.86 mm, and 0.20 mm and 0.25 mm respectively. At 21 °c, the eggs hatched approximately 28 h after fertilisation.
