Abstract
Synthesis of the first silicon substituted benzaldehyde derivatives is described. Reduction of tetramethyldiphenyldisiloxane-4,4′-dicarboxylic acid chloride with tri-t-butoxylithiumaluminum hydride gives tetramethyldiphenyl-disiloxane-4,4′-dicarboxyaldehyde in 40% yield. Synthesis and characterization of Schiff's base derivatives are described.
