Abstract

In this paper Online estimation of Stator resistance in indirect vector control of Induction motor directly from the decoupled stator quantities is presented via reactive power measurement and rotor and stator fluxes. In vector control since the detection of flux quantity is mandatory. But the detection of flux from stator quantities is prone to errors because of stator resistance variation, so it needs to be estimated. The effect of stator resistance on flux, torque and currents are analyzed both under steady state and transient conditions.
