Abstract
It conducted a research on static and dynamic load test to investigate actual working conditions and bearing capacity of continuous girder bridges. Detect the mechanical characteristic and deformation of main bridge structure especial the pier no.2 which was strengthened of a continuous girder bridge under static and dynamic load. Build finite element model of MIDAS/Civil of the bridge and calculate theory values related to contents of the test. The result comparison between experiment data and theory values shows that, both deformation and strain of every control section and characteristics of vibration such as frequency damp ratio and mode shape meet the requirements. During the study, some conclusions were deduced and precious experience was accumulated for calculation of mechanical characteristic and load test of this kind of bridges.
