Abstract
Idaho appellate courts are quite willing to examine the legislative history of a statute, and they do cite various legislative history materials to support their decisions. This article provides a description of the passage of a bill in the Idaho Legislature, discusses the historical and recent use of legislative history by the Idaho Supreme Court and Court of Appeals, describes the types of legislative history materials available, and provides contact information for legislative history resources.
