Abstract

This paper presents a systematic experimental project to determine parameters in activated sludge model No.1 (ASM1). It is stressed that the OUR curve-fitting method combining with respirometry is especially useful to determine parameter ks. Experimental results indicate that the values of μ̂H, YH, bHand ksare 6.005d-1, 0.675g/g, 0.479d-1and 6.0mgCOD/L at 20°C respectively. The variation of KXor khhas little impact on the biochemical reaction process in samples containing low concentration of Xs.
