a variety of local and systemic treatments are equally effective, and the choice depends on sight preservation, patient preference, and perceived acceptable local and systemic recurrence risk [4].Furthermore, there may be a role for elimination of antigen exposure to reduce the risk of recurrence.For thyroid, salivary gland, and gastric maltomas, the control of thyroiditis, Sjo¨gren autoimmunity, and H. pylori carriage are integral parts of the disease management [1].In our case, surgical correction of chronic exposure (e.g., gold weight/canthoplasty/palpebral springs) may be considered.
