Abstract
The application of atmospheric pressure ionization liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry to the analysis of drugs is described. The techniques are electrospray and atmospheric pressure chemical ionization. Examples are shown of quantitative analysis with electrospray operating in the ng ml–1 range and atmospheric pressure chemical ionization in the pg ml–1 range.
