Abstract

Three sequences of functionals which are stationary at the eigenvalues of the Lippmann-Schwinger kernel are constructed. In addition to providing estimates of the eigenvalues, variations of these functionals also provide approximations to the eigenvectors and some interesting transforms of the eigenvectors.
