Abstract
Based upon the aberration of starlight, an attempt is made to explain the experimental facts of importance concerning the special theory of relativity. The physical meaning, rather than mathematical formalism, is the center of attention in this attempt. It is demonstrated that the classical concepts of time and the velocity of light, in contrast to the currently accepted view, are more natural for describing special relativity physics. 1
