Abstract
Abstract We studied the metabolism of (S35‐labelled)4‐methylthiouracil and 4‐carboxylthiouracil in the thyroid gland and other organs of cockerels. The main result is that the drugs are nor incorporated in the nucleic acids or in the protein fractions, but that they are oxidized to sulphate. Further, the percentages of the nucleic acids in the thyroid gland and pituitary gland were nor altered by the drugs.
