Abstract
One dynamic model has been established in ecological system. Considering the influence of foreign trade on the ecological footprint and ecological carrying capacity, the stability analysis of the system has been given. Theoretic analysis and numerical simulation showed that the range of the parameters leading to the chaos. Based on the model, the complex nonlinear relationships among foreign trade, ecological footprint and ecological carrying capacity are obtained. This model offers a new method for evaluating the sustainable utilization of natural resources quantitatively.
