Abstract

The Mobile Ambient Air Monitor (MAAM) is designed to record ambient levels of carbon monoxide, methane, total hydrocarbons, ozone, sulfur dioxide, nitric oxide, nitrogen dioxide, and total oxides of nitrogen. Wind speed and direction, barometric pressure, temperature, and relative humidity are the measured meteorological conditions. An acoustic sounder installed to measure inversion heights above the measuring station. A data acquisition system records all analyzed pollutants plus the meteorological conditions.
