Abstract

ABSTRACT We describe the design and implementation of an expert software system which can help environmental engineers and consultants in the selection of the appropriate techniques for the management and control of hazardous waste sites. The system uses a description of a hazardous waste site and the substances found there along with a database of chemical substances to select an appropriate remedial technology.
