Experimental Analysis on Ground Vibration Generated by High-Speed Train

Abstract

With the rapid development of high-speed railway, the problem of ground vibration induced by high-speed train has become increasingly prominent. In this paper, ground vibration characters due to high-speed train have been studied by the experimental method. A series of CRH2 and CRH5 test trains run at the speed of 200km/h in the Jia-Ding section of the Hu-Ning Railway, and then time histories and spectrums of vibration accelerations at different points on the ground surface are gained and analyzed. The Z vibration levels on the ground surface also have been analyzed. The results show that vibration accelerations in X, Y and Z direction on the ground surface are one order of magnitude, and the value of vibration acceleration in Z direction is the maximum one. The vibration acceleration spectrums distribute mainly in 0 to 60 Hz and vibration energy among 5∼40Hz is the largest. The Z vibration levels almost decrease with distances from the center of railway track, but the partial amplification phenomenon occurs at individual point.
