Abstract
The design of an intelligent transportation system which bases on GPS and GPRS is advanced. In this system GPS information, vehicle, GPS and traffic light information are transmitted by means of GPRS wireless network to traffic control center, and finally the traffic control center displays above information and sends commands control to all the subsystems. In this paper we introduce the whole structure of this system, including hardware components and software framework, and analyze the implementation of the key technology and the performance of the system. This system has much good performance such as high speed of the transportation of the data, high precision, real time and good reliability. (3 pages)
