Abstract

ABSTRACT Naval and commercial hydrofoil craft have become commonplace. While articles on hydrofoil performance and hydrofoil craft operations have been published, there is relatively little available material on the calculation of hydrofoil craft take off. This paper summarizes ongoing work at the University of New Orleans to develop the Soviet approach to hydrofoil vessel performance calculations and to extend this approach for use on personal computers.
