Open publisher page 1 citations

Abstract

In recent years, social workers have begun to explore the use of ethical theory to analyze ethical issues in practice. This article provides an overview of traditional schools of thought in moral philosophy and examines their relevance to social work practice. Although ethical theory may not provide unequivocal answers to complex moral questions, it can provide a rigorous framework for the analysis of ethical dilemmas in social work.
