Abstract
In recent years, the private equity market has grown sharply as investors have warmed to it as a means of diversifying their portfolios and companies have increasingly depended on it as a means of finance. Although there are many forms of private equity investing, it can be generally described as any investment strategy that includes the purchase of equity in a private company.
