Abstract
Abstract The standard potential of the silver‐silver bromide and the silver‐silver iodide electrode in a 87.68 wt% methanol‐water mixture and in 100% methanol has been determined by comparison with the known standard potential of the silver‐silver chloride electrode in these solvents. The potential of the silver‐silver bromide and the silver‐silver iodide electrodes appeared to be very sensitive to light.
