Abstract
Asymptotic behavior of near-field to far-field transformation based on cylindrical wave expansion, applied to Fresnel-field measurements, is considered. Far field is represented as a linear combination of Fresnel-field samples with coefficients expressed in terms of Fresnel integrals. The results agree with the known Fresnel-field to far-field transformation based on Kirchhoff approximation.
