Abstract Famotidine, 3‐[[[2‐[(diaminomethylene)amino]‐4‐thiazolyl]methyl]thio]‐ N2‐sulfamoylpropionamidine, a new potent histamine H2 receptor antagonist, was labeled with 35S and 14C for metabolic studies at specific activities of 45.7 μCi/mg (VIb) and 47.6 μCi/mg (VIc) respectively.
