Abstract

The infrared emission spectra of the moon and earth were observed in 1941 at the Lowell Observatory, Flagstaff, Arizona. These preliminary experiments demonstrate the feasibility of employing the radia- tions from the moon and earth as tools in the study of the night atmosphere
