Abstract

Procedures and evidence are presented regarding the identification of hydrocarbons found to be present in the gasters of Novomessor cockerelli (André) (Hymenoptera: Formicidae). Tridecane, n-tetradecane, n-pentadecane, n-hexadecane, n-heptadecane, n-octadecane, and n-nonadecane were identified.
