Abstract New bis(ethylenediamine)cobalt(III) complexes containing various 1,3-diamines have been prepared and resolved (or separated) into optical isomers. The preferred conformations of six-membered 1,3-diamine chelate rings in these complexes seem to be reflected on the absorption and circular dichroism spectra.
