Abstract

The influence that the duration of the applied pressure and the passage of the current, current density, and compacting pressure have on the porosity of powder steel is shown. The dependence that the amount of bound carbon in the iron-graphite composition has on the process modes is determined. The porosity of the iron powder is compared with the porosity of the iron-graphite composition under different modes of electrocontact compaction.
