Abstract
Abstract A standardized new variant of the uronic acid determination based on carbazole reaction is suggested which has been proved for routine analyses. Its relative error is less than ± 2% in case of measuring 50–340 μg chondroitin‐4‐sulfate or the equivalent glucuronic acid. The method is suitable for determining other mucopolysaccharides, polyuronides and uronic acids, too.
