Abstract
Labrifer balli n.sp. from an embiotocid fish, Zalembius rosaceus (Jordan and Gilbert), is described and illustrated. The main features that differentiate the present form from those previously described in the genus are the shape of the body and the position and orientation of the oral sucker.
