Abstract

The reductase component of the TOL plasmid encoded toluate dioxygenase was shown to immuno-cross-react with polyclonal antibodies raised against the chromosomally encoded benzoate dioxygenase reductase from Pseudomonas putida C-1. Anti-reductase antibodies did not cross-react with any component of the benzene or naphthalene dioxygenases.
