EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATIONAL FUND‐RAISING AT AMERICA'S COMMUNITY COLLEGES

Abstract

The results of a four month Research Fellowship served at the offices of the American Association of Community and Junior Colleges are reported in this article. Specific details of the article include: Community College success in obtaining corporate and foundation funds; the profile of donors to community colleges; six reasons why community colleges don't begin educational fund raising programs; characteristics and models of successful community college programs; and implications for practice derived from the research.
