Abstract
A quark-diquark model of baryons is adopted to describe nonleptonic decays of hyperons. Parity-violating and parity-conserving decays are assumed to rise, respectively, through weak and weak-strong sequential decays of the constituent strange quark or diquark of baryons. A simple way is shown to explain most features of both decays.
