Abstract
The use of implanted metal seeds to induce hypophysectomy using induction heating was studied in vitro and in experimental animals. The preliminary observations indicate that this technique is not satisfactory for bringing about total hypophysectomy at primary operation but may be useful in permitting secondary lesions in the hypophysis at a later date if hypophysectomy is incomplete.
