This inves igation concerned the u s e of a laser velocimeter to d e t e r -The velocity mine point velocities i n a turbulent liquid flowing in a pipe.distribution was determined at each point and for each r a t e of bulk flow.This method of m e a s u r e m e n t affords data unaffected by any p r o t u r b e rance into the flow s t r e a m , The frequency r e s p o n s e of the b a s e instrument and electronics is sufficient to m e a s u r e all frequencies of turbulence investigated.
