Abstract
Abstract With the development of TFT‐LCD TV display devices, high performance and thinness feature become the mainstream. It is a great challenge to make direct backlight of LCD TV module with CCFL light source thinner in mechanical and optical design. In this paper, we adopted a special structure to reduce thickness of direct backlight in display. This structure can decrease the space for CCFL light mixing. And the feasibility is also supported by optical simulations and experiments.
