Summary: Pneumocystis carinii pneumonitis successfully treated with trimethoprim-sulpha-methoxazole. Pneumocystis carinii pneumonitis was diagnosed on lung biopsy in an immunosup-pressed patient. Therapy with trimethoprim-sulphamethoxazole led to a rapid clinical recovery with no side-effects being observed.
