Effect of Regional Culture in Regional Innovation System - A Case Comparison between Silicon Valley and Tsukuba

Abstract

Currently, the construction of Regional Innovation System is one of the important works for Chinese regional government. The development of a Regional Innovation System would be influenced by many factors, and emerged different developing paths. This paper first analysis the difference of Regional Innovation System between Silicon Valley and Tsukuba, and draws the importance of culture in Regional Innovation System according to it. Then point out the two effect of regional culture in Regional Innovation System and the relationship. Finally, gives some policy suggestions basis of the actual social situation of China.
