Santen, Lipton, and Kendall (2) have reported that eight of 22 patients (36%) with metastatic breast cancer had objective remission lasting from 3 to more than 19 months when treated with aminoglutethimide and glucocorticoid replacement. Three additional patients (14%) experienced a subjective relief of symptoms.
