Abstract
The American Indian pueblo of Acoma is examined in terms of the four criteria of tribal or ethnic tourism development: Habitat, Heritage, History and Handicrafts. The resident population effectively developed and currently manages their visitor industry, and is a model for indigenous leadership and participation.
