Abstract
Abstract A split‐plot experiment consisting of two methods of seedbed preparation for corn with three methods of weed control was conducted on the same areas of seven different soil types during 1962, 1963, and 1964. Conventional tillage (three diskings after plowing) was compared to reduced tillage (one disking after plowing) as a seedbed preparation variable. Weed control methods on subplots consisted of cultivation alone, atrazine alone, and atrazine plus cultivation.
