Abstract

Abstract Influence of growth volocities of further neighbours on the presence of faces in crystal habit has been analysed. It was established that the consecutive neighbour affects the face size only after the disappearance of the previous neighbour. The formula for the critical growth velocity governing disappearance of a face which includes the closest and further neighbours has been derived and discussed.
