Abstract

Traffic congestion and the high rate of traffic accidents are main problems of urban transportation in China. So it's necessary to propose scientific and efficient traffic management idea and methods. Through the analysis of traffic self-organizing phenomena and its mechanism, the paper discussed how to mangage urban traffic using self-organization principle and then presented traffic management mode based on traffic self-organization.
