Exercise and physical activity - an overview of the benefits the physiological basis of health-related exercise and fitness exercise and mental health adherence and compliance to exercise and rehabilitation programmes the principles of exercise prescription physiological and psychological assessments the components of an exercise programme - aerobic and activity-based exercises, muscular-strengthening exercises, flexibility and joint-mobility exercises physiotherapy and the use of physical activity and exercise in rehabilitation exercise benefits and prescription exercise terminology for the description of movements, the position of body parts and the roles of skeletal muscles thoughts for the future.
