Abstract

The chromatography behavior of a number of flavonoids is investigated, including quercetin, naringenin, chrysin, morin, rutin and naringin on the Luna 5u C18(2) column, and the conditions of their separation are established. The specific of retention in regard to the hydrophobicity of flavonoids is analyzed. Based on their use as a mobile phase containing 25% acetonitrile and 75% 0.1% aqueous H3PO4, it is possible to separate rutin, morin, quercetin, and naringenin; the duration of analysis is 28 min. Based on the their use as a mobile phase containing 50% acetonitrile, it is possible to separate quercetin, naringenin, and chrysin with a duration of 8 min, or morin, naringenin and naringin, also with a duration of 8 min. An analysis of quercetin in the Enoant food concentrate of grape polyphenols and extracts of medical herbs is accomplished.
