Abstract

A diesel engine is an internal combustion engine that uses the heat of compression to initiate ignition to bum the fuel, which is injected into the chamber. In this paper the various processes of the diesel engine processes are simulated by writing a C program for the mathematical model developed for the various processes. Then the program is run with the diesel fuel and diesel fuel mixed with the various quantities of dimethyl ether and the results obtained are compared with the engine run by pure diesel alone.
